The International Boulevard is a novel event added to the festival in 2012. A section of City Park is set up with a double row of tents being hosted by local residents who have heritage or business connections in other nations. National flags identify each booth, and a plethora of cultural items from each nation is on display including artwork, textiles, decor, pottery, jewelry, posters, maps, books, etc.
The festival includes educational presentations and displays on the variety of cultures that are represented in the Mid-Ohio Valley. In our increasingly global society, most people don't appreciate the myriad links that connect us through our families and neighbors, schools, faith communities, and employers to the rest of the world. The more we understand how interconnected we are, the more familiar and comfortable people will become with people of different dress and customs, and will accept that difference as interesting and part of the normal variety of society in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
Arts in Motion Stage
